Ne互tUp: Lisbon is a roving Startup event centered on connecting technology leaders from around the world to solve global challenges.
Each year, we land in a new city to connect leaders, founders, and technology enthusiasts with Asia and Singapore.
Each year, we renew our commitment to strengthening diversity, equity and inclusion in Deep Tech.
Each year, winners of our DeepTech Challenge are taken on a whirlwind delegation to the Singapore Innovation Ecosystem.
This year, we team up with the Singapore-Portugal Innovation Alliance (SPIA) to co-organise the program.
The Challenge
Ne互tUp: Lisbon is in search of talent to shape solutions for a better future.
The DeepTech Challenge is open to any person actively supporting greater gender, social and ethnic diversity in science and tech.
The DeepTech Challenge provides multiple points of entry for startups and scaleups to expand their business in Asia, using Singapore as a launchpad.
Together with our global partners, we are building new communities of mutual understanding in Tech.
Finalists will be invited to pitch live before an expert jury panel on 14th November 2024 at the United Lisbon International School in Lisbon.
Winners will earn their place in a business delegation to Singapore’s Innovation Ecosystem in Q1 2025.

Singapore is one of Asia’s leaders in DeepTech, with a burgeoning local ecosystem backed by a supportive government. From 2017-2022, the government has set aside S$19 billion in R&D funding, a sum second only to the USA. Concurrently, since 2016, government-backed entities, such as SGInnovate have launched initiatives such as the Power X Initiative and DeepTech Nexus Strategy to cultivate technological hard skills in a 23,000-strong local talent pool. Such efforts have transformed Singapore into an international champion of innovation and research, putting it at the forefront of fields like nanotech and advanced materials.
